The International Weinberg Society filmed this video in Paris Weinberg String Quartets in the Philharmonie de ParisQuatour Danel to perform in JanuaryThe Philharmonie de Paris, always daring and inventive in its programing, will welcome the Quatour Danel on January 22nd for a concert, in which they will perform Weinberg´s String Quartets Nr.6 and 7, next to Nr. 10 by Shostakovich. On January 24th the internationally renowned Weinberg and Shostakovich experts David Fanning and Michelle Assay will give a lecture about Weinberg´s life and his quartets, joined by the Quatour Danel, who recorded all 17 string quartets by Weinberg for the very first time on the label CPO. On January 19th the Quatour Thymos will perform Weinberg´s String Quartet Nr. 4, on January 16th the Dover Quartet will perform Weinberg´s Quartet Nr. 8.The concerts are supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
